Hey, please full view this because it'll look better than this thumbnail. ^_^
I really have been lazy for so long...and I miss doing AAML art so here's one I did for my favourite Pokemon couple-(to be!)
There's a mix of styles I used here - oekaki outlines, airbrushing...and I've finally realized that the 'Colour Dodge' tool in Photoshop makes nice hair highlights! Umm..so here you have it - one very sunny and optimistic picture. Yes, optimism is what Pokeshippers are all about!
So please give me Advanced Critique about this style here. I appreciate any comments! ^___^
So sweet! I love the blushes. Oh, and not only dodge, but burn, makes for a great way to color hair. Unfortunately, my mouse isn't accurate enough to use them, but I once saw a tutorial on coloring hair and it incorporated both dodge and burn, and the end results were amazing!

Awww, kawaii! I gave up Pokemon long ago, but I always hoped the two idiots would get together. ^_~
As for the style itself, my primary critique on it is the edging, which looks like it was done with only a single pixel-width brush. The hair does indeed look awesome, and this is coming from someone who can't do lighting/dodge/burn to save his life in an image (despite many attempts and many tutorials). The eyes are also very well done, giving a very gem-like look to them which does seem to contast with the rest of the bodies, but it still looks lovely. The cherry blossoms were also a nice effect to add to the romantic, sunny element of the pic. Good work! ^_^
lol! I guess you're right in calling them "idiots"! They're still not getting together...
And yep, I originally intended it to be an oekaki - well, the outlines at least - so that's why I used a 1-pixel Pencil tool to do the edges. Thankyou SO much for such kind comments, Linkara! I really appreciate'em ^___^
Yay! Thanks heaps for your comments and fave! I'm kinda unsure about the Colour Burn tool but I'll experiment with it ^__^ I reckon 'Multiply' is a great way to colour stuff. I can't wait to see you continue using both dodge and burn tools cos you sound so experienced with it!
ya! we got a new AAML peice! realy great job on this. the colors are just great and you can see the optimisim for a happy future in it. id have to say my fav part is the background it gives a realy soft feel to the intire peice. on our heros here the colors look great. i realy like how you did there eyes and the blush. keep it up!
