An airbrushed picture of Gong Li (again!) which I used a lovely reference picture for. I chose to do this in sepia in order to focus on the shading and to make her proportions look as accurate as possible. And it's hard enough as it is! I spent days on it, on and off - and almost abandoned it a few times.
Didn't do much for the background as I was already poofed after finishing Gong Li!
(And just a little tidbit - the small oval seal is just one I made for fun...it contains my Chinese surname ^_^)
*low whistle* Woah, airbrushing huh? I thought for a second it was a painting, or something, it's so smooth and detailed! (well, the hair is anyways)
The shading is GORGEOUS, I understand and forgive the lack of bg, and the only thing I can imagine being better about it would be the right eye - it seems just a tad too large, or is her left eye too small? Anyway, perhaps its the angle, but her eyes seem different sizes.

Hey...Wow, you're fast at commenting! Thankyou for your constructive crits again! I see what you mean by her eye being a bit too big - so I shrunk it a little bit...probably not enough though..you think?

Absolutely amazing! I particularly admire how you did the hair at the parting, the eyes and the lips. Some parts of the edges are a little fuzzy but overall this is just jaw-droppingly great Your airbrushing rulez!
Hey Jade! Thanks heaps ^__^ I always appreciate your comments The hair was a killer...and fuzzy bits = laziness or me just giving up. lol
